If this bohemian and woodsy lakeside elopement isn’t proof that you don’t have to head to the Dolomites or Yosemite to have a stunning elopement experience…Then I simply don’t know what is. Discover how to make your elopement personal and check out more from this elopement in Georgia at Ramsden Lake in Stone Mountain below!
Lily got ready inside the perfectly styled “glamping” tent while Kyle waited for her outside for their first look together. And tucked away at an incredible lakeside Airbnb in North Georgia, Lily and Kyle exchanged their vows beside a small lake with vibrant autumn leaves surrounding them like a golden cloak. They spent the evening rowing around the lake together, and Kyle had to get in a few shots of the bride for himself on her film camera.
The beauty of this day was in its simplicity and intentionality.
They had all the time in the world to do exactly what they wanted, how they wanted. Instead of spending a wedding budget on feeding over a hundred guests, the attention was put into the details of their wedding day. From choosing the ideal Airbnb getaway, to sourcing a team of incredible vendors. Their wedding day was personal, simple, and full of intentional moments.
Even if you don’t want to go halfway across the world to marry the love of your life, don’t think for a second that your elopement experience won’t be perfect and swoon-worthy. In fact, these two didn’t even leave their home state!
Eloping is about staying true to who you are as a couple. It’s about reclaiming the core values of why your wedding day matters, and putting that into action in a way that feels authentic and natural. Not about how adventurous you are or how far you traveled to say “I do”.
Eloping doesn’t mean you need something elaborate. You don’t even have to travel somewhere jaw dropping or exotic. If you feel at home camping in the woods… then lean into that. If you want to smell the salt air of the ocean while you say your vows, or if you breathe a little deeper on the rural property of your grandparent’s farm… then lean into that. This is how you make your day personal! Whether that means heading across the world or simply spending your day somewhere close to home that feels like “you”.
