Gloria and Mitchel reached out to me while they were planning their mountain elopement and intimate wedding from afar in Florida. From our first video call together, we all knew it was the perfect fit. Not only are these two some of the most down to earth, real humans out there… They were down to plan a wedding day that was 100% authentic to their personalities and core values. They chose to have an intimate backyard ceremony with only their very closest friends and family members at their modern Airbnb cabin in Mineral Bluff, North Georgia.

How to Make Your Intimate Elopement Intentional

Truly think through what you want out of your wedding day! Every detail of Gloria and Mitchel’s wedding was done with so much heart and intention. They didn’t want anything fake or staged. They weren’t concerned with following a traditional wedding day narrative, or taking any of the “typical” photos. Gloria and Mitchel wanted their day to be as candid and honest as possible. Which only makes sense to who these two are to their core. To truly have an intentional wedding, simply choose what genuinely aligns with you. For example, you don’t need a traditional wedding dress!

What kind of details can you make intentional to help your wedding day feel more like you? Anything! Gloria wore a custom-made black wedding gown (from Stylish Bride Accs), and paired it with her trusty Dr. Marten’s boots and a subtle, yet elegant black stone hair piece. Her choice to not wear white was one she kept secret until the day of the wedding, but her mother-in-law immediately commented after the ceremony that nothing would have suited her better! She stayed 100% true to herself, from the moody wedding gown to listening to heavy metal music while she got ready at the cabin! Whatever feels like you, do it. 

Timeline Idea for Your Mineral Bluff Airbnb Wedding

1. Adventure Through the Mountains

Once the small ceremony was over, the bride and groom chose to spend several hours adventuring through the mountains and taking me to some of their favorite “hidden gem” nature spots. We started at a waterfall, then made our way to the river, and finally we ended their adventurous bridal portraits at a scenic mountain overlook at sunset. Here they exchanged private vows with each other, and shared some tender, emotional moments surrounded by the mountains and lingering October fall colors. 

2. Celebrate With Your Friends and Family

They returned back to the Airbnb to share Mexican food from a local restaurant, drinks, and dessert with their friends and family on the porch of the cabin at a long reception table-scape they had carefully curated and decorated themselves!
