As you can see, Chrissy and Nick have a super playful energy together, and it was so much fun getting to work with them. What I loved about this session was that it was heavily “activity” focused. This allowed them to really connect and enjoy themselves without focusing on the camera, or the fact that they were taking photos! For intentional, playful photos, check out these ideas for couple photoshoot or engagement session!
Your activity oriented session draws the attention away from the whole experience feeling like a “photoshoot” and brings it back into reality. Do something that you already love doing together, or try a new experience that you get to share. The camera is just there to document! For this engagement session the activities were: camping, canoeing, making s’mores, outdoor shower, etc.
Using an Airbnb like Tents at Ramsden Lake isn’t just a great idea for elopements… It’s also a great way to create some truly out of the box engagement or anniversary photos. There are so many options and aesthetics when you think about going and staying somewhere for your engagement session! Plus it can be such a fun, relaxing way to escape some of the wedding or elopement planning pressure and just enjoy each other and your engagement season!
